Dear Families,
We look ahead with gratitude to All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day, two important celebrations in the life of our Catholic Church. These days invite us to remember the holy men and women who have followed Christ faithfully and to pray for all those who have died.
On All Saints’ Day, we celebrate the saints in heaven, those recognized by the Church as well as the many holy people whose lives of faith, love, courage, and service may be known only to God. The saints remind us that holiness is possible in every time and place. Through their example, we are encouraged to follow Jesus in our own daily lives by showing kindness, forgiving others, serving those in need, and using our God-given gifts for the good of others.
On All Souls’ Day, we remember our loved ones and all the faithful departed. We give thanks for their lives, hold their memories close, and pray that they may share fully in the peace and joy of eternal life. This day also reminds us of the communion of saints, the spiritual bond that unites the Church on earth, the souls being purified, and the saints in heaven.
Throughout this season, our students have opportunities to learn about the lives of the saints, reflect on the meaning of prayer, and remember those who have gone before us. We encourage families to pray together and share stories about loved ones.
May the example of the saints inspire us, and may our prayers for the faithful departed strengthen our trust in God’s mercy and everlasting love.
Blessings,
Mrs. Amy Nelson
